What do I do if something is wrong with the dress I bought?

What do I do if I receive a dress that is misrepresented in the listing?

This is an upsetting situation to be in and we sincerely hope that you do not experience it!

What you do in this situation depends on the form of payment used to purchase your dress.

Paid With PayPal

You will be covered by PayPal's Purchase Protection if your dress is:

  • Different than described in the listing (different designer, color, size)
  • Damaged or not in the condition it was listed as
  • Never arrives

PayPal will ask you to attempt to resolve the situation directly with the seller first; if that isn't possible, you’ll want to navigate to the resolution center on paypal.com to get started on opening a dispute. You can read more about the process here: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/security/buyer-protection-resolution.

Did NOT Pay Using PayPal

If you did not purchase the dress through a protected form of payment like PayPal or Escrow, you will need to look into what protection is offered via the form of payment you did choose and then contact them for your next steps.

OnceWed.com recommends avoiding payment with personal or cashier's check, wire transfers, gift cards, Venmo, and any other cash transfer apps. With these methods, there is no buyer or seller protection.
